Nursery

This room used to be twice the size before we knocked the wall down and reduced it to extend the bathroom. It also used to have a bizarre sink in the corner of the room that we quickly got rid of and looked like a student halls of residence room that had been used for thirty years.

As we were moving the kitchen to the other end of the house and building a snug eating area into it (as well as the fact that we don’t tend to have eight people or more around for formal dinner parties every week) we didn’t really need a dining room.

The bathroom was one of the worst rooms in the house when we bought it. It was tiny, the shower leaked everywhere, it was a horrid yellow, with an old broken mirror and tiles falling off the wall. Continue reading →
