We’ve always wanted a renovation project and one with a garden for Dougal the dog to run around it. Especially a garden with rabbits and squirrels to chase around.

The house looked sad and unloved and hadn’t had a private owner for over 30 years. It just needed a serious amount of tlc to reverses he damage it had suffered over the years and uncovering all it’s original features.

All the old Georgian fireplaces had been plastered over and removed, while and eighties hearth was put into one room. All the old wooden window shutters had been nailed shut and masses of gloss paint over the sash and case windows so they would no longer open.

Overall all the rooms needed some serious updating but it had bags of potential.

and Dougal loved it. So we were sold.
